Open-back top
You can tie a large silk scarf into a top with a covered front and an open back.
What you will need
- a large square silk scarf
- a thin cord
- a mirror
Step-by-step instructions
- Fold the scarf. Fold the scarf into a triangle, tie it in the centre and fold it in half once more to make it smaller.
- Place it around your neck. Let the triangular corner point down over the front of your torso.
- Prepare a cord or chain. Bring it from behind and guide it from your back to the front
- Spread out the front. Bring the cord from behind, under your arms and beneath the scarf, then pull it on both sides
- Bring the ends to the back. Pull both ends of the cord evenly backwards to tighten the top above your bust
- Secure the top. Cross and tie the cord at the back, then adjust the front of the top.
Tip
Keep the cord taut as you wrap it so the front layer of the scarf does not shift before you tie it.
